I'm ALIVE!!!

Forgive my absence from the blogging world for the past few weeks as I had literally shut down from everything in my life--internet/shopping/friends/etc. So I could focus more on my family (the six kids I already have!) and we could prepare for the arrival of the newest, tiniest of the James gang! Hehehe! We're so excited!!!

And no, she's not here yet--not for another 7 weeks! (Which according to Jenni-baby-belly time is really something like 9 weeks!) But I feel we're finally at a place as a family, where I can come back at least until she's born and say howdy!

So howdy!

Now, my kiddos and I have decided to run a little poll on the side here--> If any of you would like to join in feel free! As some of you may know, Mark and I have been desperately trying to create a blonde baby, so our oldest son could feel like he belonged to the family! Lol! Since all 5 of the other kids so far, have come out beautiful bright, bright redheads! Lol! Now don't get me wrong--we not-so-secretly LOVE red hair!!! LOVETH It! But it is getting a little out of control at the moment, don't you think...?

I know science has predicted that redheads will become extinct soon--and Mark and I have been doing our part to save the redheads of the world! But honestly! It's time my teenager wasn't asked constantly if he really was a part of our family! LOL! Poor kid.

So here goes... We're setting up a poll to the right to decide what you guys think about this. And my kids will be checking back often to watch the numbers rise... as they're very excited to see what the outside world has to say on the subject!

Thank you! And howdy from the whole James Gang!

  2. I'll vote for a blonde, just because.

My last one was a blonde and, well, I hate to admit that I kinda said that I better get a blonde-haired blue-eyed girl if I was going to have to go to so much trouble during the pregnancy. Uhm, the joke was on me when she was born with dark brown hair. She was gorgeous. Then in a few months that dark hair turned white-blonde and I had to laugh. She's almost three now and still has the blondest hair.

Good luck with the next few months. Your life is going to be a big ride in June! Double birth of baby and book. Go supermom!

    Just sayin'.

Welcome back, hope everything goes well and congrats on the book deal, I had no idea!

  8. My daughter has blonde hair but Hubby and I both have dark brown hair. I have been asked often where she gets it from. (of course when we were younger both hubby and I both had light hair.) I get tired of explaining.

  9. Oh those last few weeks are rough - at least for me. Hope you get everything you want with this new baby. 6 redheads is awesome.

  10. I'm glad to hear that all is going well. Good luck with all your continuing preparations. As far as the hair color is concerned, oldest, don't despair if the baby has red hair at birth. It could still change. I had red hair as a baby and it went white-blonde by the time I was 2. Then again I'm all for saving the redhead population. I have 2 of my own.

  11. That's hilarious - love the poll! I vote red! I mean, really, if you have six who are already red, then...

But I wish you luck with your blonde endeavours! :)

  12. I vote for blonde. What a fun poll!

And yes, I'm going to LDStorymakers. No worries, you can toss me the present under the table there. :)

Hope the rest of your pregnancy is going well. You are One Trooper of a Woman!

  13. In my family there are four kids. My younger brother and I have brown hair (straight), my sister has blonde ringlets and my older brother has red curls. Go figure.

    Here's to another blonde baby!

  15. You might get what you want. My sister has 3 redheads and two blondes, though the blondes are both boys... I don't think I'll be voting though, it could go either way...
