HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Last year just ended up being one of those perfectly placed Karma years, where I reached every one of my goals... but didn't actually set out to achieve them. Not purposefully. They were all goals so embedded deep into my subconscious that every day I mentally thought about them and worked towards them, without stressing over them.

So imagine my surprise and downright giddiness when it finally dawned on me earlier this week--for the first year in forever, I'd finally achieved everything I set out to achieve! YAY!

I won't bore you to tears with the details... just know that I was able to help at least one friend get an agent, I wrote at least three more books, I'll be having a baby in June, my Jane Austen series sold, and I lost weight. Wahoo!

So move over 2009, I'm ready to rock 2010!
Also, am I the only person who found 2009, somewhat slower than the last few years? Yes, yes... it went fast--but for some reason I was really able to feel as though it went by slow enough for me to catch my breath and actually stop to smell the roses... Or maybe I just have a new lease on life and am enjoying every moment I'm given...? *shrugs*

For those of you interested--I've finally decided to separate my poor family and friends from my Author life on Facebook. So if you'd like to follow me as an author on facebook, click here. Or search for Author Jenni James, and you'll find me.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!

  6. Ok, so you made me actually think about my goals for last year. What did I accomplish? This is so much more fun that thinking about what I didn't accomplish. So here it goes, I attended the temple more in 2009 than 2008. I excercised more regularly in 2009 than 2008. I earned more money in 2009 than 2008 (that wasn't hard to do!). I graduated college with my AA degree in 2009! How could I forget that? But I seem to focus so much on what I didn't do that I forget to bask in my accomplishments! Thanks for always seeing the positive, Jenni! It helps me to change my perspective as well!
